The Path of Uncertainty

A Journey through current times...

Without wanting to state the obvious, it has certainly been a very surreal and at the same time very real the drastic measures and changes that we had to undergo in 2020 with the pandemic, not to mention the ones who have lost jobs, loved ones...

I said surreal because in all my years of existence, I have taken for granted that perhaps such horrific situation could only happen in Hollywood films, that once the movie was over you can return to your normal life. Well, the reality was that it we didn't return to normal lives, I believe our concept of normal is still in the process of being reinvented, readapted to the new circumstances as we navigate this uncertain times.

But with all this; God never said you had to go through alone, nor that you had to carry the burden by yourself. In fact he said

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Some people may even think of blaming God for these things, but you will find nowhere written in the Bible that God created diseases nor death. In fact he sent his only begotten son to save us and give us eternal life.

When you trust in him and ask to be saved than it is like living through Psalm 23 while at the same time driving through the chaos of current times, the fear and the not knowing what tomorrow brings.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
 for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
 through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
 for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
 they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
 my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
 forever.

If I was to list here all the health issues I had been through last year including corona plus almost loosing my mother, the only parent I have left, some of you would be pulling your hair out... It was indeed a tough year, but with God, I did not fear, I had peace in my heart and he surrounded me with amazing people that supported me at all times. Yes I was going through the valley of darkness, it was testing my soul, but I felt that I was not alone, that I did not have to carry the burden alone, and that in the end everything would be all right.

Despite, the challenges, it was also a great year in so many other ways, I grew so much in my faith and spiritually, God removed my cigarettes' addiction after 26 years smoking. It was an effortless process, like waking up and not being a smoker. Today, I also don't drink alcohol, don't miss it, don't feel like it. My life has changed immensely for the best, my health is getting better by day, I have joy, peace, hope and I know that I am not alone. My mother is healthy and moving a block away from the main beach in Fortaleza. God is good and he blesses the ones who trust in him.

So, He is just waiting to do the same for you; you that have not yet accepted him in your heart. You that are struggling alone, loosing sleep due to stress and anxiety. God did not create us for sorrow but for joy.

May his peace be with you! Be blessed.

If you want God in your life than pray this prayer believing with your heart and confessing with your lips out loud. The bible says that "We all have sinned and all fall short of the Glory of God, and that the wages of sin is death but God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, and whoever calls his name will be saved!"

It's that simple! So, Stop the struggle and remember He is God! He loves you!!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Come into my life, forgive me of my sins. Wash me, cleanse me, set me free. Jesus thank you that you died for me. I believe that you have risen from the dead and that you are coming back again for me. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit.
Give me a passion for the lost and a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am saved, I am born again, I am forgiven and I am on my way to heaven because I have Jesus in my heart!

Like a Pastor Kyle Searcy said in a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IXMaFXAx1A), "the problem is not to die, the problem is to die without Jesus".

Naturally, God wants you to live, but he does not want you suffering or going through trials alone. With him, trials become lessons, and there's no fear, no stress, because He becomes your strength. You live with your eyes focused on eternity, knowing that whatever happens in the here and now will be for the good of all; because God is perfect in every way.

God bless you!
