What if it's True?!

The inspiration to write this blog came from my evangelizing trips and the people I came across lately, who are still unaware or in disbelief of the existence of heaven and hell. Some say that they don't believe it, but the reality is that just because one chooses not to believe it does not make it disappear.

We don't see electricity and yet when we press the switch light comes on! Well, it's with this intention that I pray that light will come on in your heart and mind so that you too can find the true riches: The presence of God, Salvation and Truth! Because, in this place, there's no lack, no sorrow, no sadness, no unrest, no struggle, just Peace, unspeakable Joy, true Freedom and unconditional Love! Let not your pride dictate your destiny, let not others be the measure of what you can believe.

Firstly, I want to start with a very important and also agonizing story in the Bible in the book of Luke 16:19-31 of a rich man who never really cared for the poor and sick man who sat outside the gates of his house. This story has many lessons, it not only talks about how dreadful hell is, but it also teaches us about kindness and it's many benefits to us and consequently who surrounds us; it also depicts that death is not really the end of your story.

Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus

19 Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury. 20 At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores. 21 As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores.

22 “Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the heavenly banquet.[a] The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and he went to the place of the dead.[b] There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.
24 “The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’

25 “But Abraham said to him, ‘Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. No one can cross over to you from here, and no one can cross over to us from there.’

27 “Then the rich man said, ‘Please, Father Abraham, at least send him to my father’s home. 28 For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’
29 “But Abraham said, ‘Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.’

30 “The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’
31 “But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Jesus mentions many times in the Bible about what Hell is and what it feels like to be there, he says it's a place of torment and gnashing of teeth. His intention is to make us aware so that we can make better choices in our lives, so that we can come to find peace, love and true freedom in Him. As it is written "...and the Truth will set you free" (John 8:32).

The Bible also says in Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." As such, then let this be more than an invitation to prevent us from insisting in our destructive ways, let it be a warning to avoid further pain and to live or die in torment.

Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
12 If you say, “Surely we did not know this,”
Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?
He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?
And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?
(Prov. 24:11-12)

God invites us everyday to get to know him, he does that by displaying his Glory all around, by granting us another day, another awakening, by a kindness act of a stranger, a sweet smile of a child, your loved ones and they gesture of love towards you, an amazing sunset; if only you have eyes to see and ears to hear; assuredly you will not miss the invitation to life from the one who created life; because He loves you!

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, and your faithfulness in the evening, (Psalms 92:1-2)

God has so much in store for you, so much life, so much love, so many wonderful plans to use the gifts He gave you to make you prosper in every way. All we have to do first is to get to know his Word. And one thing he says is that "A wise man is strong, Yes a man of knowledge increases strength;" (Prov.24:5) Here states that you will have strength when you get to know and live by his word, because it is written that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge" ; and fear in this case is obedience.

5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.(Colossians 3:5)

The ultimate question is, how much is rebelliousness worth?

I don't want to know the answer to that, I'd rather plant myself in this promise:

12 But the godly will flourish like palm trees
and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
13 For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house.
They flourish in the courts of our God.
14 Even in old age they will still produce fruit;
they will remain vital and green.
15 They will declare, “The Lord is just!
He is my rock!
There is no evil in him!”(Psalms 92:12-15)

Before you carry on in your ways, I would love to invite you to get fully acquainted with God, he wants to be your friend, He loves you and has wonderful plans for your life, plans to make you prosper and he adds no sorrow with it...

O Lord, what great works you do!
And how deep are your thoughts.(Psalms 92:5)

Invite God today into your life and see it being transformed from glory to glory, victory to victory! You will never feel alone again, and he will always be there to fight with and for you!

To invite and accept Jesus in your life today, then read this following text out loud, believing in your heart that he is real and that you are ready to get to know him, that you want to see him move in your life. Take this moment between you and him and open your heart to receive the most sublime form of Love there is. Remember, He is the only way to the Father. "He is the Way, the Truth and the Life."( John 14:6)"

Say this:

" Dear Lord Jesus,
Come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, wash me, cleanse me, set me free. Jesus thank you that you died for me, I believe that you have risen from the dead and that you are coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit; give me a passion for the lost and a hunger for the things of God, give me a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am saved, I am born again, I am forgiven and I am on my way to heaven because I have Jesus in my heart." Amen

If you have prayed this prayer, as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ,I tell you today that God has forgiven you of all your sins, you have been given a new life in Him. That's not my power but his Grace.
